A quote from an auction item on eBay, telling the story of her grocery trip, that I really identified with:
In the bakery, they’re giving away free samples of coffee cake and of course, my kids all take one. The toddler decides he doesn’t like it and proceeds to spit it out in my hand. (That’s what moms do. We put our hands in front of our children’s mouths so they can spit stuff into them. We’d rather carry around a handful of chewed up coffee cake, than to have the child spit it out onto the floor. I’m not sure why this is, but ask any mom and she’ll tell you the same.) Of course, there’s no garbage can around, so I continue shopping one-handed while searching for someplace to dispose of the regurgitated mess in my hand.
Just yesterday I was carrying a half-eaten sand-covered carrot around in my pocket for a similar reason. The author/auctioneer also has a blog.

This is the coolest re-use of materials into a toy. I'm going to have to remember this and see if I could fit something in like this to the new house.

I keep on coming across recipes that I'd like to try on the web. So I've put up a Recipes page to link to them. You may find them as tempting as I do.

My cousin Sarah got married! Pictures are online here. I love the choice of red, white and black as colours.

Do you remember Wil Wheaton from Stand By Me and his role as Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation? Well, he's all grown up now.

My how time flies. I have a hard time believing that it's been four months since I've updated this page. I suppose it pretty much coincided with my move into the new place with James. So what's going on? Mid-June James and I moved into the new place together. It's been wonderful. September 11th was my first official day back at school. I have decided to get my degree. I'll be doing it on a part-time basis, so it will take a couple of years. A week ago Karen Buchanan and Bob Sauve got engaged. Congratulations!

It sucks when none of your remaining birthdays are associated with cool milestones. Like being old enough to drive, or old enough to vote, old enough to drink. Now I'm just old enough to have a mortgage.

Can you read the links on the left? I went to this blue colour theme the other day and am wondering if everyone in all their different browsers can still see the links because they're blue. Anyways, moving day is coming closer and its time to get together all those checklists. Bell has one. Not fabulous, but it's a starting point. There are others by realtors or something. Fairly generic though. Of course, the Internet being what it is, there are of course a few websites focused on the subject. The Moving Assistant, U-Pack and Mayflower Transit.

Quote received via email that everyone should sit and think about when they're down.
....If sometimes you feel yourself little, useless, offended and depressed, always remember that you were once the fastest and most victorious sperm out of hundreds of millions...

Decided to change the look a little. It's a little more Eastery, even though Easter has passed. I'm in a pastel kind of mood. Thinking of moving this to a more blog-type look and functionality for this page. Might try working with the database to have entries supplied via that way.... but that will take some time and I'll have to be inspired. :)

Karen Buchanan has bought a house! And it's a very short rollerblade from my new house, even shorter walk from my Dad's house. She saw it for the first time and put in the offer yesterday morning. Moving date would be May 30 - 15 days before mine! Check it out here.

Providing this may show my geek-tendencies, but it made me chuckle out loud several times. I found this page while making a stab at Googlewhacking, searching for "apple jumble dork" Excerpt: It might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy. :)
